The CharterLaw Business Networking Group is pleased to invite you to our next networking function in Sydney CBD. Our purpose is to allow us to meet you and for you to meet new business people and make new business connections over a sit-down breakfast.
At each meeting, CharterLaw will host an informative and interesting guest speaker who will address participants on current business and related issues of interest to business people.
NEXT MEETING DATE: Thursday, 5 September 2019
GUEST SPEAKER: Craig Emanuel Executive Director & Financial Adviser, Morgan Stanley
Craig began life as a Chartered Accountant. In previous lives he was a Division Director with Macquarie Bank and a Director of Private Wealth with UBS and is now Executive Director with Morgan Stanley, the world’s largest wealth manager. Craig has a deep understanding of investment markets and economies globally, is a regular presenter on business channels and Foxtel and is an educational speaker to financial industry bodies and national CEO and management bodies.
TOPIC: Australian Investors – move out of Australia!
Unfortunately, Aussie investors hold one of the largest ‘investment home biases’ globally. Put simply, we do not want to invest offshore.
Craig will take us through the reasons why he has directed more than 80% of his clients’ capital outside of Australia since 2009 (the GFC) and why it is important to move your investment funds outside of our beautiful country. He will discuss economic and financial data, including stock market indices, inflation, interest rates and currencies with a spicy and humorous mix of politics.
